Herman Miller "Stocking Stuffer" Campaign
For my Professional Design Practice course I was given a project guideline which instructed me to choose from a selection of companies and conduct a design campaign for a line of their products.
In order to accomplish a successful branding campaign I had to use all of the predetermined design styles that Herman Miller has established. I researched which typeface, colors, and hierarchies Herman Miller uses in order to produce designs that are in line with their brand identity.
Additionally, I researched previous ads that Herman Miller has released for their furniture marketing. I took elements from some of their more abstract pieces and implemented them into my final designs. The examples below are some of the inspiration I used for my work.
After conducting my research I was able to design a series of Instagram stories that would be used in promoting the "Stocking Stuffer" campaign that I made up.
The premise of the campaign is to promote smaller, more affordable, decorative items that Herman Miller offers. I chose Instagram stories as my medium because it is an efficient and modern strategy for promoting a product.
Instagram stories are quick and have to be eye-catching, so I including only the necessary information along with interesting patterns in order to get the viewer to want to learn more about the products.
